Patricia Tanzer Paul, an AV rated partner in the litigation section of the firm, was born in Passaic, New Jersey. She grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She received her B.B.A. with General Honors in 1982 from the University of Georgia, with a major in International Business. Ms. Paul received her Juris Doctor Degree in 1985 from the University of Georgia School of Law.

After graduation from law school, Ms. Paul moved to Savannah to work as the law clerk to The Honorable Perry Brannen, Jr., then-Administrative Judge (now Chief Judge) of the Superior Court of Chatham County. In 1988 she became an associate attorney with Oliver Maner LLP, and in January, 1993 she became a partner with the firm.

Her areas of interest are employment (including civil rights) litigation for public and private entities, workers’ compensation, and business and medical litigation. She has spoken at continuing legal education seminars on the topics of ethics from the perspective of counsel for the employer, and the defense lawyer’s use of the Internet.

Ms. Paul is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Savannah Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is President of the Savannah Children’s Theatre, Inc., and Vice-President of Savannah Sinfonietta and Chamber Players, Ltd. (the new symphony orchestra in Savannah). For the last two years she has been co-chair of the Attorney’s Division of the local United Way Campaign. She is a graduate of the 1990-1992 class of Leadership Savannah and is past President of the Savannah Jaycees.
