William (“Bill”)  J. Hunter is an associate in the firm’s litigation section, concentrating in the areas of medical malpractice defense, plaintiff's personal injury cases, business litigation and real estate litigation.

Born and raised in Arkansas, Mr. Hunter earned a B.A. in Economics from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, in 1999.  Following graduation, he attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While in Fayetteville, Mr. Hunter was an active member of the Arkansas Law Review and served as the Note and Comment Editor in 2002-2003. In 2003, he received his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude

Since joining the firm, Mr. Hunter has become an active member of the Georgia State Bar, the Savannah Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association.  He is a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and was recently appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Professional Malpractice Substantive Law Committee.  Mr. Hunter is also a member of the United States District Court of the Southern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals of the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit.
